June 22, 2008 Fire Drill Procedure
Dear Brother and Sister,
We write to inform that there will be a fire drill taken place on June 22. It will cover both the church building and the Blessed House.
The drill will be held three times between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the first one during the 8:30 a.m. morning service; 10:00 a.m. English service and 11:30 a.m. 2nd morning service.
Please observe the following procedure when you have heard the Fire Alarm. It will last for about 10-15 sec. (If there is a real fire, the alarm will be non-stop until the firemen come).
Sunday school Teachers (Cantonese, English & Children)
1. Please follow the Evacuation Route provided in your classroom and lead your whole class through the specific exit door as indicated on the paper. For Children Sunday school, the teacher must do a head count before moving the students out of the classroom to ensure all children is accounted for. All children will be assembled in the green space next to the Blessed House.
2. If your class does not have an Evacuation Route, please lead the class to leave the building through the closest exit door.
3. The last person leaving must close the classroom door and/or the building door.
Worship Chairperson (Cantonese and English)
Please divide, at your discretion, the congregation into two halves, the front half will be leaving the building through the two doors at the front of the sanctuary: east exit door (behind the piano) and west door (sanctuary side-room) leading to the parking lot. The back half will be through the St. Johns Street doors. The elderly must exit through the east doors (behind the piano) to St. Johns Street. The Worship Chair will be the last person of the group leaving. Please make sure both the sanctuary and the building doors are close.
Children Worship Leaders
The children worship department head or the children pastor together with the helpers will lead the children through the west exit door (sanctuary side-room) to the parking lot. Helpers will lead the group while the children pastor or the children worship department head the last person of the group leaving the building. Please do head count of the children before leaving to ensure all children is accounted for. The last person leaving the building must close the building-door. All children will be assembled in the green space next to the Blessed House.
Parents - Nursery Room
Follow the evacuation route to exit through the church building front-door to St. Johns Street. The last person leaving the room must close the room doors.
Deacons and Pastoral Staff
Please play the role of regulating traffic, especially helping to guide the traffic through exit doors to avoid bottle neck. Only direct when an unpredictable situation occurs, since each group already have their leader in the practice. However, they will be the last group of people leaving unless they are the leading person of the Worship or the Sunday school class.
Finishing of the fire drill
As soon as both buildings have been evacuated, an assigned person will manually ring a bell walking around the church property to indicate the practice has been over; all responsible leaders should help to lead the group back to their respective rooms to continue their routine. Children worship and Children Sunday school class must do the head count one more time to ensure everybody is there before returning. Deacons and pastors are the last group going inside the building to ensure that everybody has returned.
二零零八年六月二十二日火警演習程序
親愛的弟兄姊妹：
本會將於二零零八年六月二十二日舉行教會火警演習。演習所牽涉的範圍包括教會大樓及恩福樓。
演習將在當天早上8:30至下午1:00分三次不同時段進行。第一次在早堂 (早上8:30) 崇拜時段；第二次在英文崇拜 (早上10:00) 時段；而第三次在午堂 (早上11:30) 崇拜時段。
當聽到火警鐘響起 (約長達10 – 15 秒) 時，請按照以下所列之步驟作出相應行動 (請注意：當真正的火警發生，火警鐘將會不停響著)：
主日學老師 (包括粵語、英語及兒童主日學)
1. 請依照設於各班房內的疏散路線圖指示學員經特定之出口離開。兒童主日學老師請緊記於疏散前先點算人數，以確定所有兒童都已齊集，然後往恩福樓側的草地上集合。
2. 如果班房內沒有路線圖，請指示學員在最就近的出口離開。
3. 請最後離開的弟兄姊妹緊記於離開時把門關上。
崇拜主席 (包括粵語及英語)
請自行判斷將會眾分成兩半，指示在大堂前半部的會眾由東門出口(鋼琴側)或西門出口(副堂) 離開往停車場集合。而大堂後半部的會眾則向著聖約翰斯街(St. Johns Street)出口離開。所有長者務請由東門出口(鋼琴側) 往聖約翰斯街 (St. Johns Street) 集合。崇拜主席則在確保大堂門關上後才最後離開。
兒童崇拜部部長
兒童崇拜部部長或兒童事工主任及所有當值的輔助員應指示兒童經西門出口 (教會副堂) 往恩福樓側的草地上集合。輔助員需要在離開大樓之前先點算人數，然後帶領兒童離開。兒童崇拜部部長或兒童事工主任則在關上門後才最後離開。
嬰兒室之家長們
請依照設於嬰兒室之疏散路線圖經教會大樓正門往聖約翰斯街 (St. Johns Street) 集合。請最後離開的家長緊記於離開時把嬰兒室之門關上。
執事及教牧同工
如有需要，請協助控制疏散人流，特別是協助指示所經的出口之人流，以避免產生有瓶頸路段之阻塞。由於每組人都已有特定的組長帶領及指示，所以執事及教牧同工只需於在一些不能預測的情況下提供協助。他們在最後才離開。擔任崇拜主席或主日學老師則例外。
火警演習結束
當所有人完全撤離後，將會有一位特定的人員環繞著教會及恩福樓搖著鐘鈴，以顯示演習完畢。在聽到搖鈴後，所有負責之組長請指示組員進入原有的地方繼續有關之聚會。兒童崇拜及兒童主日學組長請緊記重新點算人數，以確保所有兒童都已齊集。執事及教牧同工必須在確定所有人都已返回後才返回教會大樓。
